Wet Mopping

1. Assemble all chemicals and custodial hardware prior to beginning procedures. Read safety instructions on MSDS and chemical product labels and comply as directed.
2. Move all moveable objects from area(s) to be wet mopped.
3. Dust mop floor with an untreated, synthetic dust mop to remove loose soil. Use scraper to remove gum, etc. Dispose of litter.
4. Place Wet Floor Signs at access area(s) to foot traffic.
5. Mix ‘Ultra-Q128’ cleaner disinfectant at 1 oz. per gallon with cold water in a clean bucket with wringer.
6. Immerse clean, dedicated wet mop in solution and lightly press mop in wringer to remove dripping.
7. Flood cleaning and disinfecting solution on manageable area of floor, framing in edges and filling in center using figure-8 pattern. Allow 10 minutes contract time. Do not allow solution to dry. Re-wet floor if solution begins to dry before final pick up procedure.
8. Wring out wash mop in wringer and pick up cleaning solution previously applied. Remove any abrasions or black marks from floor whilemaking final pickup with an abrasive pad attached to the mop handle or by dragging an abrasive pad under one foot.
